# Open and manage a Circle

> Look through the people in a Circle and the latest updates about them.

**Overview** gives you a summary, **People** lists the members, **Map** shows how they connect and **Signals** collects the updates O has. Some Circles also show **News** and **Activity**.

## Where to find it

Select a Circle, or choose **Open** from its menu.

## What you can do

* Choose **Overview** for a summary of the Circle, or **People** to look through its members.
* Choose **Map** to see how the members connect, or **Signals** to catch up on updates.
* Use **Feed settings** to choose which sections you see. If there are **News** and **Activity** tabs, switch between them to read updates.
* Open the Circle's menu to edit, export or delete it, or to start a chat, when those options are there.
* Select a member to open their profile.

## How to use it

* Before you change who is in a Circle, check it's the one you meant to open.
* To make changes, use the owner's controls. If a Circle someone shared with you needs a change, ask its owner.
* Go back to **Circles** to open a different Circle.

  **Privacy.** A Circle is how you organize people. It doesn't mean they have joined a group together. It stays private unless you share it or the page says it is shared.
